Dusty Country retreat presents the historic 1945 BoatShack glamping holiday experience.

Escape to a beautifully converted 1945 boat, nestled in tranquil woodland with sweeping views of the open Cambridgeshire countryside. Originally known as The Anthony Stevenson, this historic vessel once sailed out of Penzance, Cornwall. Today, she has been transformed into a romantic, one of a kind hideaway for couples.

The perfect retreat for couples looking to relax, explore and visit the local towns. Located 20 minutes drive from Ely and 40 minutes from Cambridge.

The boat forms part of the overall space incorporating the bedroom with a king size bed, accompanied by a adjoining boat shack with an eclectic industrial style kitchen and bathroom with walk-in shower.

Inside the Boat

Bedroom: A king-size bed within the boat built from original oak beams and larch planking, blending nautical history with modern comfort. Carefully designed to retain the charm of the boat while offering a cozy, relaxing retreat.

Inside the Shack

Kitchen: Eclectic and industrial in style, built from reclaimed materials, featuring a vintage carpenter’s workbench, butler sink, cooking hobs, fridge, and dining space.

Bathroom: A luxurious private bathroom with a rain shower, elegant basin, and Victorian toilet.

Outdoor Space

Garden: Step outside to your private decked terrace, with outdoor sofa, fire pit, BBQ and stunning views over farmland.

Parking: Two car parking spaces are available. Vehicles are parked at owner’s risk. We cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage to your vehicle or property.

Location

We have two exclusive retreats on our family farm in the Cambridgeshire countryside, both the Circus Wagon and BoatShack nestled within a meadow and woodland, each with their own private outdoor space that’s completely secluded and not overlooked, offering guests total peace, romance, and privacy.

20 minutes to Ely: A historic cathedral city, famous for its magnificent 12th-century cathedral, boutique shops, antique dealers, art galleries, and a vibrant selection of independent cafés and restaurants. Ely also hosts regular farmers’ markets, perfect for discovering local produce.

40 minutes to Cambridge: World-renowned for its university and breathtaking architecture. Stroll through cobbled streets, explore its 31 historic colleges, or take a punt along the River Cam for a truly unique perspective of the city. Cambridge is also home to excellent museums, artisan markets, and a thriving food and drink scene.
